WATERMELON IN GINGER WINE
This simple yet lovely dessert is perfect ending for your heavy meal. Since watermelon is very refreshing and light to eat. Ginger is also good for digestion.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Watermelon (medium size)
- 150ml Stone’s Original Green Ginger Wine
- 250ml water
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 30 Grams preserved candied ginger
- Mint leaves for garnish
Method
1. Slice watermelon (medium size) into 1cm thick slices, remove seeds, and using a cookie cutter (your choice of shape) cut into shape.
2. Place melon shapes in large bowl.
3. Combine Stone’s Original Green Ginger Wine, water and sugar in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot. Remove from heat.
4. Cut preserved ginger into thin slivers. Stir into ginger wine mixture. Let it set for a while to cool then pour over melon shapes. Refrigerate for several hours. Stirring occasionally.
5. Spoon melon shapes over a glass plate then serve it with mint leaves as garnish and enjoy!
